August update
Monday, 24 August 2009 15:15

June was a busy month for Green Connections with four corporate volunteering days taking place.

GE Money held their Annual Volunteer Day with the Glenroy branch working at Brimbank Park and the Head Office working at Yarra Bend Park. These combined events had a great impact on both these parks.

Novartis volunteers from around Australia worked hard alongside the dedicated Friends of Westgate Park on planting the area beside the bridge at Westgate Park. Special mention to the “Mulch Movers” for their supreme effort!

AXA continued their ongoing support of the People & Parks Foundations work through their volunteer effort at Royal Park.

Royal Park - 23rd June 2009

Thank you Phillip Mawditt (Royal Park Officer, Serco Australia) and team for you assistance on the day.

The period from September to November is shaping up to be busy time for corporate volunteering with many organisations finalising their involvement. We are working closely with the parks to target specific projects that could benefit the most from volunteer assistance.

For companies that wish to connect with the community beyond a one day volunteer experience, we are also facilitating Park Partnerships. Park Partnerships create a strong and ongoing relationship between companies, communities and the People & Parks Foundation.

If your organisation is interested in volunteering or creating a Park Partnership please contact Rachel Laurie on rlaurie@peopleandparks.org
