Volunteer of the Month - February 2010

Adrienne (aka AJ) Meyer has been a regular at many of our Sea Search events.  Whether it’s intertidal monitoring at Mushroom Reef or Ricketts Point, or even getting muddy at Tooradin for our Mangrove Monitoring launch, AJ isn’t afraid to travel to different places to find out what is living in the marine environment and collect important monitoring data.

In addition, AJ is a fantastic photographer and has been busily taking photos of all the things we find in the marine environment and has even developed an audio visual presentation using the photos she took at Mushroom Reef with the names of all the plants and animals to share with the group.  It’s great to have such an enthusiastic person volunteering with Sea Search, thank you AJ!

Volunteering News - August 2009!

People & Parks Foundation recently attended the University of Melbourne Volunteer day. This was a great day for us and we are looking forward to working with the many volunteers that signed up on the day.

We have recently established relationships with Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre, Monash Volunteer Resource Centre and Volunteering Victoria and we are looking forward to working with the volunteer bases from these centres.
